Spray foam (also known as polyurethane) is typically calculated by the board foot. To calculate the board footage of the space you need to insulate, multiply the area you want to insulate by the depth in inches.
In general, open-cell spray foam is 35 to 55 cents per board foot, and closed-cell spray foam is $1–$2 per board foot.
